Truck causes multicar crash on Route 30, killing 2 construction workers: Police

Two construction workers were killed after a tractor trailer crashed on Route 30 in Chester County on Monday evening, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash involved several vehicles and happened around 6:50 p.m. on May 18 on the eastbound side of Route 30 near mile marker 270.3 i
n Valley Township, police said.
Despite an active work zone being established by road crews, a tractor-trailer driver is accused of starting a crash involving three other vehicles which hit two construction workers, officials reported.
The two workers were pronounced dead at the crash sited, according to police.
Officials reported that two other people were hurt in the crash and taken to nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
SkyForce10 was over the scene around 8 p.m. where a white semi-truck could be seen crashed through the guardrail and into a wooded area off the road.
A second vehicle was seen flipped over on top of the front end of the truck.
Nearby on the roadway, a construction vehicle was visible with damage to the back end and roadwork signs strewn throughout the lanes.
