A 44-year-old man was critically injured early Tuesday, police said, after he was stabbed in the neck by someone who, officials believe, he had a fight with hours earlier. According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at a prope rty along the 5700 block of Harmer Street in West Philadelphia, when a man was stabbed in the neck. First responders found the man alert and transported him to a nearby hospital where, Small said, he was listed in stable condition. Through investigation, Small said, officers determined that the victim was likely stabbed by a man that he knew and was involved in a fight with several hours earlier on Monday. He said a suspect has been arrested, but police are still investigating the scene and reviewing surveillance footage in this case. An investigation, Small said, remains ongoing.
