A crash involving a semi truck and at least two other vehicles has forced the roadway to be shut down on Monday evening. According to Pennsylvania 511, Route 30 – Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass – is shut down in both directions between the Coatesville and Chester City exits. SkyForce10 w as over the scene around 8 p.m. where a white semi-truck could be seen crashed through the guardrail and into a wooded area off the road. A second vehicle was seen flipped over on top of the front end of the truck. Nearby on the roadway, a construction vehicle was visible with damage to the back end and roadwork signs strewn throughout the lanes. A spokesperson with PennDOT told NBC10 that a contractor’s vehicle was hit during the crash. No word yet on what led to the crash or if anyone was hurt. NBC10 is working to learn more.
