A bear was spotted just before 5 a.m. on Monday on the 25800 block of The Old Road near the Vons supermarket, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.  A delivery driver called deputies about a bear being near the building, Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station, said during a phone interview Monday.  Miller added that the delivery driver was having difficulty getting into his semi-truck due to the bear being close to it.  She said that when deputies arrived on the scene, they were unable to locate the bear.  Deputies called the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to notify them of the bear’s location.  It is not known whether it was the same bear seen Thursday and Friday in Canyon Country.  The post Bear sighting reported in Stevenson Ranch appeared first on Santa Clarita Valley Signal. ...read more read less
