A Pennsylvania man is accused of using fake movie money to buy items at a gas station store in Bucks County. The investigation began on April 30, 2026, when police responded to the Sparta Gas Station on 1233 Easton Road in Warrington, Pennsylvania, for the report of a customer using counterfeit m oney. Workers at the store told investigators a man, later identified as 24-year-old Andy Ruben Rodriguez Anzules of Bristol, used a counterfeit $20 bill to buy an item. Rodriguez Anzules returned to the store shortly after and tried to use another counterfeit $20 bill, investigators said. Store employees confronted Rodriguez Anzules and found four more counterfeit bills, according to police. Investigators said the counterfeit money was marked “Motion Picture Purposes” on both sides. Rodriguez Anzules was arrested and charged with forgery and possessing instruments of crime. Police said they found another counterfeit bill in his wallet when he was taken into custody. Rodriguez Anzules was unable to post $20,000 bail and he was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. Online court records don’t list the public defender who could speak on his behalf. Police released tips on how to check if money is real: Check the wording on each bill. Look for the security features on each bill, like the watermarks and security threads.
