Three off-duty Dallas Police Officers were taken to the hospital after a single-engine plane crashed in Kaufman County Saturday morning. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Highway Patrol responded to the plane crash at about 12:21 a.m. in a field near the Southwest Corner o f Helms Trail and Akron Way in the city limits of Forney. The pilot and two passengers were taken to the hospital.
