Catch Up Read is a literacy intervention nonprofit dedicated to increasing childhood literacy proficiency.
May 12-20, the nonprofit celebrated young students in the program with Reading Rallies. Those events highlighted the reading progress for more than 1,000 students during the 2025-26 school
year.
Students in Dallas ISD, Richardson ISD, and Fort Worth ISD participated in the program, which concluded with fun, graduation-style celebrations to show the kids how important their work has been.
“Watching our students grow in confidence throughout the year has been incredible,” Principal Tara Djamat-Dubois at Nathan Adams Elementary said. “The Catch Up Read program helped turn reading into something that excites our students. The Reading Rallies are a meaningful way to celebrate their hard work and the commitment of their teachers and all others who supported them along the way.”
