Kars4Kids, known for its catchy jingle played on television and the radio, will no longer broadcast ads in California, a judge ruled. The Orange County judge found the charity violated false advertising laws. The case stems from a lawsuit in 2021. A man sued the charity’s affiliated organiza tion, Oorah Inc, when he discovered the money from the car he donated was not going to underprivileged children in California. Instead, the money landed with an Orthodox Jewish program in New York and New Jersey that sends teenagers on gap year trips to Israel with their families.
