Meredith Ouderkirk (she/her) is a passionate health and human services professional with a dedication to organizational excellence, data-informed decision-making, and equity-driven governance.  She first engaged with Central Current in the summer of 2025, when she appeared on the It’s Happe ning Here podcast to discuss her work at Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York, where she directs media, public, and governmental relations and grassroots organizing efforts in support of reproductive freedom. Experiencing Central Current’s facts-forward, independent journalism firsthand sparked her interest in supporting the organization’s invaluable work and mission. She is grateful to bring her years of experience in the nonprofit sector, her enthusiasm for transparency, and her love for Central New York to her service on the board.  Outside of work, she can usually be found training for her next half marathon, trying a new recipe, hosting friends and family, or spending time with her husband and two cats.
