Four San Jose high school students assaulted a fellow student and a school staff member Monday afternoon, according to police. The assault happened at about 12:45 p.m. at Leigh High School in the city’s Cambrian neighborhood, according to police. Police said four 16- and 17-year-old boys ini tially assaulted a 15-year-old boy. The group then assaulted a school employee when he tried to break up the altercation. The 15-year-old boy complained of pain but declined medical treatment, police said. All parents or guardians were notified, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
