Former DJJ employee accused of providing vaping devices to youth

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A former DJJ employee was arrested after being accused of providing youth with contraband, says DJJ officials.

Officials say 32-year-old Ladrea Satterfield, of Cayce has been charged with adult furnishing contraband to a juvenile in custody of the Depa
rtment of Juvenile Justice and misconduct in office.
Satterfield is accused of providing THC vaping devices to youth while working at the Midlands Evaluation and Detention Center.
She turned herself in to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
And also, resigned from her position, says SCDJJ officials.
An investigation conducted by SCDJJ resulted in Satterfield’s arrest.
