There’s another community town hall about the future of Fair Park. Tonight’s meeting is from 6 – 7 p.m. at Vista Bank (3225 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd). The meeting about learning what’s to come – like a long-planned community park that is supposed begin moving forward after the 2026 World Cup FIFA Fan Fest ends in July. The city council recently took over oversight of the park project. There will also be opportunities for residents to ask questions and give input at the meeting. Fair Park is also home to the State Fair of Texas and the recently renovated Cotton Bowl, which hosts high school and college football, as well as professional women’s soccer with Dallas Trinity FC. City leaders have previously pushed to make Fair Park more of a year-round attraction.
