Fort Wayne Circle K robbery leaves employee injured and $15,000 in damage

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WISH) — Three women and two men have been arrested after being accused of robbing a Circle K gas station in Fort Wayne Friday evening.
According to a release from Fort Wayne Police Department Saturday, officers were dispatched to 3730 Engle Road, the Circle K gas station,
in reference to a disturbance. Shortly after, the call was upgraded to a strong-arm robbery, meaning no dangerous weapons were involved.
An employee says the five individuals entered the business together, and one of the women approached the employee and began to throw items. The same woman is also accused of damaging the cash register and kiosk.
Police say the suspects subsequently assaulted the employee, causing injuries. During the assault, one of the male suspects reportedly took merchandise from the store without paying and then continued the assault on the employee.
Initial estimates indicate approximately $15,000 in damage was caused to the convenience store of the gas station.
Police say the following individuals were preliminary arrested in connection with the incident:
31-year-old Devon Stewart: Robbery resulting in bodily injury, battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, and disorderly conduct.
27-year-old Denise Williams: Battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, disorderly conduct, and criminal conversion.
30-year-old Christopher Harris: Battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and disorderly conduct.
22-year-old Denasia Williams: Battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief
21-year-old Shaniya Arnold: Battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, disorderly conduct, and false identity statement.
A mugshot was not readily available for Denise Williams and Denasia Williams.
The incident remains under investigation.
