There was a joyful reunion in the south bay on Saturday between Mexican parents and their children, who’ve been separated for years. The reunion was all part of a program by the Federación Jalisco Internacional. The social initiative group helps and relatives who live in Mexico to travel to th e U.S. under temporary tourist visas. These families have been separated for at least a decade when their children migrated to the U.S. They were reunited once again in San Jose. “He hasn’t seen his family members for the last 30 years, so to see how resilient he’s been, to finally see his own family has been a privilege and honor to see,” said Jocelyn Negrete Arroyo.
