One dead, two hurt after twovehicle crash closed part of Route 5 in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is dead and two others were injured after police said a crash occurred on Route 5 in Henrico County Monday morning.
According to the Henrico County Police Division, officers were called to a crash on Route 5 between New Market Heights Lane and Farmers Circle
Drive at around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, May 4.
All lanes were closed near exit 295 and in the area of Rocky Hill Farm Drive, according to police.
Police confirmed to 8News that one person is dead and two other people were taken to the hospital.
"Officers expect the roadway to be closed for the next couple of hours as they work to investigate this crash," police said.

Drivers were encouraged to find alternate routes until crews could safely reopen the road.
At 10:21 a.m., police shared that all lanes have been reopened.
Henrico Police Crash Investigators continue to investigate this crash. No further details are available as of the time of reporting.
