ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Four adults and three children are without a home after a Monday morning house fire in Albemarle County. Just after 8:45 a.m. on Monday, May 4, career and volunteer personnel from Albemarle County Fire Rescue were called to the 3900 block of Red Hill Road for a repor t of a structure fire. Crews arrived within 12 minutes to find smoke and fire showing from one side of a home. Fire officials said two adults and two children who were home at the time of the fire were able to safely self-evacuate before first responders arrived. According to officials, first responders are still searching for numerous pets. "The home is considered a total loss due to the fire," fire officials said. Four adults and three children were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. Thankfully, authorities reported no injuries.
