Helicopter work prompts full Kamehameha Highway closure near Waimea Bay

The Department of Transportation will close Kamehameha Highway on Sunday, May 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow a helicopter to drape rockfall netting over the slope and install an impact fencing system to protect the critical transportation corridor.
