John Harrell had the “greatest job that I’ve ever wanted” as the head football coach at Rockwall-Heath. Then, with one fateful workout, a medical disorder he had never heard of changed his life forever and still haunts him today. In 2023, Harrell was at the center of a national firestorm wh en at least 26 Rockwall-Heath athletes were injured following a controversial and intense workout that left many hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis.
