SF Mission market sells $7 million California lottery winner

(BCN)-- A grocery and liquor store in San Francisco's Mission District sold a $7 million winner in the California Lottery's Crossword Xtreme Scratchers game, state officials say.
The prize winner has yet to come forward, Lottery officials said Friday.
The $30 ticket was sold at Mission Grocery Li
quor, 2130 Mission St., the Lottery said.
The scratcher features three large puzzle grids, three multipliers, four bonus words and a Fast $500 Spot.

It typically takes six to eight weeks to go through the process of vetting the legitimacy of the win, according to the Lottery.
"The California Lottery reminds players to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they have claimed their prize," the Lottery said.
In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the Lottery provided nearly $2 billion to public education, supporting K-12, community colleges, the UC and CSU systems, and more.
