ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 25-year-old woman was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after she overturned her car while trying to avoid a deer in Orange County early Thursday morning. At around 3:21 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, an Orange County deputy responded to Route 3 near Pilgrim Church Road for reports of a motor vehicle crash where the vehicle had rolled onto its roof with the driver still inside. The driver was a 25-year-old woman from Midlothian who tried to avoid a deer when she overcorrected. (Photo: Orange County Sheriff's Office) During the investigation, deputies conducted a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, where the woman recorded a blood alcohol concentration of double the legal limit. She was charged with DUI and was held in the Central Virginia Regional Jail until sober. "Drinking and driving puts everyone on the road at risk.
