Oreo is getting a cool, poolside makeover with this new popsicleinfused flavor

One of America’s favorite cookies is getting a nostalgic and patriotic makeover.
On April 30, the Oreo brand announced a new limited-edition flavor: the Oreo Firecracker Pop.
Yes, the cookie brand is teaming up with Popsicle to release the Oreo Firecracker Pop, a triple-flavored treat with b
lue raspberry, lemon and cherry-flavored creme sandwiched between two golden cookies.

Oreo describes the cookie as a “multi-layered taste experience” in every bite, but it’s clear that people are going to try and eat these like you do a real Firecracker pop — one layer at a time.
The cookies will hit shelves at retailers nationwide for a limited time starting on May 4, while supplies last.
Mother’s Day Oreos are back
Other treats the cookie company is offering this month through OREOiD are Mother’s Day-themed. There are two special-order boxes of 12 decorated cookies up for grabs. One is bright pink with themed text and costs $19.99, and the other features a “festive” design, sprinkles and more and costs $39.99.
If that price tag seems a little steep, just wrap a couple of dollars around a dozen Oreos and give that to your mom instead. She may applaud your creativity.
Other firecracker and Oreo collaborations
Whether they’re Firecrackers or Bomb Pops (which are a different yet nearly identical popsicle from another company), tri-colored, fruity and patriotic ice pops have been transformed into other treats in the past.
This includes Firecrackers’ collaboration with Liquid I.V., which partnered with Popsicle on an “authentic drink mix.”
Bomb Pop has also been busy on the collaboration front. Last summer, the brand partnered with Bahama Bucks, a franchise specializing in gourmet shaved ice, to make a few new menu options. The brand also worked with Hawaiian Punch to create a tropical-flavored version of its frozen treat.
Oreo has been hard at work coming with collaborations and new flavors for more than a century. Over 100 specialty Oreo products have been released since 1912 (yes, really).
Flavor collaborations with other sugary treat companies include: Swedish Fish Oreos, Sour Patch Kids Oreos and last July’s Reese’s Oreo Cup and the Oreo Reese’s Cookie.
