Showcase host Melissa Chase, along with two special guests from the Richmond Animal League (RAL), made a surprise appearance during the show's "This Week in Unnecessary Censorship." The lighthearted feature "bleeps and blurs" moments from TV broadcasts, whether they need to be censored or not. Producers said the segment was intended to poke fun at overly sensitive broadcasting standards. The clip came from Showcase's recently launched "Fur Baby Friday" segment, which debuted on April 24.
