A search is underway for a missing 22-year-old Northern Kentucky University student last seen Monday, according to the Covington Police Department.Covington police said they are asking for the community's help in locating Murry Foust, who lives in Latonia.Foust was last seen in the Latonia area of Covington, according to police. Police did not provide a description of Foust, but did release recent surveillance images taken just before 6 p.m. Monday.Friends of Foust told WCPO that Foust's phone was found at home, and Foust's backpack was recovered on NKU's campus. They said Foust had planned to go to class on Monday but never arrived.Eve Miller, a friend of Foust's, said the people involved in the search remain hopeful."The people I'm connected with who are involved in the search are like hopeful," Miller said. "They think that they can be found, something can be found that can lead to an answer and a safe resolution."Miller urged the community to come forward with any information."I think it's really important for the community to look for someone when they're missing," Miller said. "We don't know what happened. They could be in danger." We spoke with Foust's father Friday, who said Foust has been seen since Monday, even as recently as Friday, but has not been heard from.NKU confirmed Foust is a fine arts major in the College of Arts and Sciences, set to graduate next week."Northern Kentucky University is aware that one of our students, Murry (Alexis) Foust, has been reported missing. Our thoughts are with their family, friends and all those impacted," the statement reads. "The Covington Police Department is leading the investigation, and we are fully cooperating and supporting their efforts."Foust's art is on display in one of the galleries in NKU's School of the Arts.Gil Stengel, an NKU professor, described just how much the art community means to him."The art department, especially the ceramics program people, are family. So yeah, we're out looking for her," Stengel said.WCPO saw signs posted about Foust's disappearance at the NKU Landrum Academic Center Friday.
