This week’s Commission Accomplished features two newly constructed luxury homes with a 122-year-old Victorian-style residence sandwiched in between.
The highest-priced sale in the Greater New Orleans area for the week of April 19-25 was 220 Arlington Dr. in Old Metairie, which sold for $2.88 million. Second was 1633 Bordeaux St. in Uptown New Orleans, a 1904 Victorian-style residence that sold for $1.95 million. Third was 6924 General Haig St. near City Park and the Lakefront, where a newly constructed luxury home sold for $1.78 million.
220 Arlington Drive is a 2026 new construction home by LHC Builders. The luxury residence on the longtime popular Old Metairie street features 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and 4,963 square feet of living space. In the April 19 transaction, the listing agent was Jared English of Congress Realty Inc., while the selling agent was a non-MLS member.
The home features soaring 12-foot ceilings downstairs and a spacious living room with 10-foot sliding glass doors that open onto a patio with a built-in grill, burner, and refrigerator. The outdoor area overlooks a large backyard centered by a 200-year-old oak tree.
The open-concept kitchen includes custom solid-wood cabinetry, Thermador appliances, quartzite countertops, a coffee bar, and a scullery. The primary suite features cathedral ceilings, heated bathroom floors, and white oak cabinetry. The first floor also includes a study or bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a powder room, and a laundry room connected to a two-car garage.
Upstairs, the home includes 10-foot ceilings, four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a media room, and a loft. Additional features include energy-efficient windows, an architectural shingle roof, Cat 6 wiring, fiber-optic readiness, surround sound with speakers, security cameras, an alarm system, and pre-wiring and gas readiness for a future generator and pool. Exterior amenities include a surrounding chain wall with fence and two gates, subsurface drainage, an irrigation system, and professional landscaping with lighting.
1633 Bordeaux Street provides a shift from new construction to New Orleans history, with a 1904 Victorian-style residence that dates back 122 years.
The Uptown home includes 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and 4,923 square feet of living space. Located one block off St. Charles Avenue, it sits on a corner lot and mixes historic details with modern updates. In the April 20 transaction, the listing agent was Kari Ayala of New Orleans Property Services. The sales agent was Francesca Brennan of Engel Völkers New Orleans.
The home is anchored by a rounded front porch framed by white columns. Inside, original stained glass, pocket doors, decorative window framing, and rich wood paneling reflect its historic character. A recently renovated kitchen and den open onto a screened back porch overlooking the garden.
The second floor includes an updated primary suite with a custom dressing room, floor-to-ceiling closets, a marble shower, and a soaking tub, along with three additional bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The third floor offers two flexible rooms.
Additional living space includes a two-story guest house of about 712 square feet with 1 bedroom, 1½ bathrooms, a kitchen, and laundry, as well as a separate 583-square-foot studio apartment above the two-car garage on Carondelet Street. The property also offers room for a pool.
6924 General Haig Street is a 2026 new construction home by BC Construction Design, LLC.
The Lakeview luxury residence features 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and 4,780 square feet of living space. Located near City Park and the Lakefront, the home blends large-scale living with luxury finishes and modern design.

The home features custom cabinetry throughout, Taj Mahal stone in the kitchen, a butler’s pantry and a wine nook.
Architectural details, soaring ceilings, white oak flooring, and designer light fixtures contribute to the home’s upscale finish. The property includes five en-suite bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, an office, and an upstairs bonus room or game room. Additional features include a luxurious primary suite and a two-car carport.
