A “badly decomposed” body was found in the creek at Pennypack Park in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday, police said. Officers were called to the scene at the 3100 block of Rhawn Street at around 4:41 p.m. for a report of a suspicious death, police said. There, they found an unresponsive per son who was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at the scene at 5:06 p.m. The body is being referred to as a Jane or John Doe at this time, and Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office is working with the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detective Division to determine the victim’s identity and cause of death.
