(CNN)– Gas prices have jumped to their highest level since August of 2022. According to AAA, the national average is now $4.18 a gallon. The 6-cent spike is the biggest one-day increase in five weeks as oil prices rise amid uncertainty in the Iran conflict. Concerns over stalled talks and shipp ing through the Strait of Hormuz are pushing costs higher while U.S gas inventories continue to drop.
