UNION CO., N.C. – A Union County teacher is accused of having drugs and weapons at school. Union County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Parkwood High School teacher Gerald Morton, Junior. They responded to the school after reports of a strong odor of marijuana inside the building. They say they t raced it to Morton’s classroom and determined he showed signs of impairment. Investigators then went to his car, where they say they again smelled marijuana and found a loaded gun. A K9 later alerted to a bookbag in a classroom storage closet, that contained a legal amount of hemp and a dagger-style knife.
