On Saturday, a South Bay community held a vigil to honor and remember Paul Adame, a beloved baseball coach killed in a multi-vehicle crash on April 20.
The vigil was held at the little league baseball field on Cabrillo Avenue in Santa Clara. The 63-year-old was killed in a four-car crash on April
19 on Highway 87, near Interstate 280.
His family says they are struggling to cope with the loss.
“My dad was the center of our world, and it left us completely shattered. This heartache … I will never be able to describe the pain that we’re feeling,” said his daughter, Raquel Adame.
Adame worked for the Santa Clara Unified School District. He was also involved with Briarwood Little League for more than 20 years.
