Dozens of Mountain View homes without tap water until Monday

(BCN) -- About 67 homes in the Cuesta Park neighborhood in Mountain View remained without tap water on Saturday following a water main break on Friday. City officials urged residents in the affected neighborhood not to use their tap for any reason. The neighborhood is under a Do Not Use order.

afety testing will be completed on Monday to assess the water's potability, according to a statement from the city. There was no estimate for when the main would be fixed, but the city's statement said it was coordinating with the state Water Resources Control Board to get it fixed as soon as possible.
The city is offering free hotel stays to impacted residents. Two cases of bottled water are being distributed to each household, according to the city of Mountain View.
Showers are available at Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the Mountain View Public Library on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Impacted residents can also use showers at Eagle Park Pool, at 650 Franklin St., on Saturday and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. For direct assistance, contact the city at (650) 903-6081 or email [email protected].
