RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Over $1.2 million in illegal narcotics, including over 100 pounds of methamphetamine, were seized by Virginia State Police (VSP) in just one week, authorities said. On Friday, April 24, VSP issued its most recent weekly report detailing its ongoing crime suppression operatio ns. Between April 15 and April 21, state troopers took more than 160 pounds of illegal drugs off Virginia's streets, the report states. This included nearly 114 pounds of methamphetamine, 46.8 pounds of marijuana, 2.9 pounds of cocaine, 1.3 pounds of psilocybin, 8.7 ounces of heroin and 1.1 ounces of fentanyl. 17-year-old charged in gang-related 2024 Albemarle shooting, police say If sold, these narcotics would have generated a combined $1,233,159 in revenue, per state police. State troopers also seized six firearms, which were valued at $3,000 total.
