A new bar is rolling initiative in the San Antonio space formerly occupied by Web House. Dice Drop Tavern, a concept combining comfort eats, signature cocktails, and gaming, will open May 2.The spot is the work of Coby and Nikki Alexander. Coby was a longtime employee of Web House before its closure , and launched his Dungeons and Dragons (DD) business from the site, according to Nikki.“This space has a ton of personal history, and we could not be more thrilled or honored to be stepping in and creating something new for the neighborhood,” she says via an Instagram message.Nikki says that gamers can look forward to pub grub such as burgers, sandwiches, wings, and appetizers like poutine and fried pickles. The bar will serve DD-themed mocktails and cocktails, along with dive bar standards and a couple of different types of mead.The Beacon Hill space was made available following Web House’s closure following the death of its beloved founder, Mikhail "Mischka" Timofeyev. The business was whitewashed, erasing its side mural and distinctive hand-painted sign.But the Alexanders are bringing some of that old magic back.
