Pantego is asking voters to consider reauthorizing a 0.25% sales and use tax to repair streets.
Pantego said it has a 2% total local sales tax rate, split among the general fund, streets, property tax relief, and projects created under the Pantego Economic Development Corporation.
Proposition A
The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the Town of Pantego, Texas, at the rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.
