The U.S Chamber of Commerce says those who want to do this should contact with their customs broker as soon as possible. On the Tue sday edition of Lincoln’s Morning News on KFOR, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce president Jason Ball said the law says you are entitled to a refund. “There is $166-billion of duties that have been paid by over 300,000 U.S. importers, over 53-million entries or transactions.  It’s a huge, huge knot to untie,” Ball said. The portal will help a lot of Lincoln businesses. “Some of them have been paying in the millions of dollars,” Ball added. “It’s a big deal.  We’ve been in contact with our manufacturers through Lincoln Manufacturers Council.  We’re trying to make sure that they all get in line for what they are entitled to.” Based on what they’ve heard, Ball said manufacturers have had a positive experience with the portal.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce advises those who want to do this should contact their customs broker as soon as possible. ...read more read less
