RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Sunday night, says RCSD. Police lights The sheriff’s department says on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at about 10:20 p.m., deputies responded to a reported vehicle collision with injuries in the 3800 block of Humphrey Drive. When deputies arrived to the area, they located a vehicle that had hit a tree. Also, deputies made entry into the vehicle and began rendering aid to an adult male. EMS also arrived to the scene and while providing treatment, discovered the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body area. This remains an active and ongoing investigation, according to the Richland Co. Sheriff’s Dept.
