A man was hospitalized late Friday night after he was shot by police officers in Middletown, said Dan Hils, president of Front Line Advisors LLC, consultants for Middletown police.Around 10:30 p.m., a 22-year-old man, who is wel
l-known by Middletown police, shot at officers near the intersection of Charles Street and Reinartz Boulevard, Hils said. The man was wanted on several charges, including shooting at officers on Thursday.After the man shot at police Friday, two other officers responded to the scene, and several shots were fired by both police and the man.The man was shot in the chest and stomach area, Hils said. He was transported to Atrium Medical Center. Hils said he was in "stable condition."No officers were injured in the shooting.The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to the scene and remained there through Saturday morning.The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
