INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Central Indiana law enforcement have arrested 133 people as part of a large, multiagency sweep targeting some of the area’s most violent offenders. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrests via X Friday morning. The sweep, named “Op eration Guardian,” aimed to also enhance community safety by “safely apprehending individuals responsible for driving violence in Indianapolis.” Outside of the arrests, police recovered: 35 guns 2 machine gun conversion devices Approximately 250 grams of fentanyl Approx. 350 grams of cocaine 118 pills $41,809 USD tied to criminal activity IMPD did not release the names of all 133 suspects, but said they are accused of a variety of charges, “ranging from murder to drug-related crimes and weapons violations.” This is a developing story.
