A man wearing a mask resembling the one worn by the killer in the “Scream” movies has been arrested for allegedly terrorizing some kids in Connecticut by chasing them with knives on Monday night, authorities say. Police in New London say someone called for help just before sunset. Witness es reported seeing the suspect wave a knife above his head, and, at one point, act as if he were stabbing the ground, according to officials. Then he ran off into the woods, the caller told police. Officers cordoned off the area and deployed a drone in their search. A short time later, they found the 19-year-old suspect and arrested him. Police say he had a mask and a large “buck” knife on him at the time of his arrest. No injuries were reported. The 19-year-old is charged with breach of peace, carrying a dangerous weapon, and simple trespass. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
