At 2:51 p.m. on Tuesday, the National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 10 p.m. for Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Otsego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins and Yates counties.
