Lena Dunham is giving longtime friend Taylor Swift a heartfelt shoutout in her new memoir, revealing how the pop icon’s music helped her write the book. On April 14, Dunham released a memoir titled “Famesick,” in which she reflects on her rise in Hollywood, the success of “Girls,” healt h struggles and what she hopes to accomplish next. The book ends with a list of acknowledgements where the 39-year-old actor, writer and director reflects on the meaningful people in her life who played a role in her memoir being published. Among the names of Dunham’s close friends and family is Swift, who is sweetly referred to as “TayTay.” Dunham wrote, “TayTay — you sing the songs I wrote this book to, the stories that pulled these stories out of me, the music that makes the whole world feel seen, and yet somehow, miraculously, you also pick up every desperate call at every desperate hour.” “I love you so much and forever, for the reasons that everyone does and for reasons all my own,” she added. The “Girls” creator and the Grammy winner have been friends for over a decade, and their friendship seemed to start with Dunham gushing about Swift’s music the same way she does in her latest book.
