A man was killed after he was shot several times on the sidewalk on Monday, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. Officers were called to the 6300 block of Chews Avenue in the East Germantown section of the city around 1:21 p.m. on Monday, April 13, police said. When officers got to the scene, they said they found an adult man who was shot multiple times and they took him to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is working to figure out what led to the shooting but no arrests have been made yet.
