The Lexington Police Department and Lexington Fire Department are investigating a house fire that occurred this morning.  On Sunday, April 12, 2026, around 7:45 am, the Lexington Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at a residence in the 700 block of Orlean Circle. The Lexington Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire that engulfed the residence. The preliminary investigation suggests an explosion started the fire.  One person was transported to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries.  At this time, the Lexington Police Department’s Hazardous Devices Unit, Lexington Fire Department Arson Investigators, FBI, and ATF are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
