A teen died following a DUI crash that also left several other teenagers in critical condition Saturday in Novato, according to the police department. Police said officers responded to the intersection of Marin Drive and Simmons Lane after dispatch received multiple 911 calls about a crash just b efore 1 a.m. There, authorities said they found five teenagers between 16 and 18 years old with major injuries. Officials reported all five teenagers were taken to the hospital, where one of them died. The others remain in serious and critical condition. The police department said the 17-year-old driver was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Police added a preliminary investigation suggests the occupants were not from Novato.
