(KRON) -- Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to a fatal collision between a motorcyclist and a vehicle Thursday afternoon, according to the Antioch Police Department. Serial Milpitas porch pirate drops gun at scene during alleged theft: PD APD said it received multiple reports at 3:50 p.m. of the crash near the intersection of James Donlon Boulevard and Tabora Drive. "Officers responded to the scene and determined that a 54-year-old man was riding his motorcycle eastbound on James Donlon Boulevard when he collided with a vehicle that had just entered the roadway from northbound on Tabora Drive," police said in a news release Friday. Police confirmed severe injuries were sustained by the motorcyclist in the crash, and he later died at a local hospital. The driver stayed at the scene and was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. Antioch police said its traffic unit is handling the investigation moving forward.
