A 51-year old Elkton, SD, man is arrested on multiple counts of manufacturing child pornography and sexual exploitation of a minor. The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office said Clayton Thompson was arrested following an investigation into inappropriate videos of a juvenile female discovered on a Goo gle account. The Sheriff’s office said the investigation began April 7. Sheriff’s investigators obtained and reviewed the videos and determined they’d been recorded with a hidden camera in a residential bathroom. Investigators interviewed the victim and determined the location where the video recordings were made. The sheriff’s office notes the victim and the suspect are not related but know each other. Thompson has been charged with five counts of Manufacturing Child Pornography and five counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He was booked into the Brookings County Detention Center on a $50-thousand cash bond. The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate.
