Apr 09, 2026
The Yolo County district attorney is expected to announce indictments charging suspects in a deadly fireworks explosion that occurred last summer in Esparto.
A news briefing to discuss the charges is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office, locate
d at 301 Second Street in Woodland.
The announcement comes after a scathing report released in March by a Yolo County Grand Jury found widespread lack of oversight and enforcement led to the deadly fireworks explosion last July that killed seven workers at a Yolo County warehouse. Among the dead, four had ties to the Bay Area.
