A man accused of murdering another man outside a New Jersey nightclub in 2020 has been arrested. In November 2020, New Jersey State Police conducted a search for Jean Cordero, 35, of Passaic, who was charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 36-year-old Juan Marquez outside the Fiesta Nigh t Club on President Street in Passaic. For several years, police reported that detectives carried out a nationwide search for Cordero. This operation was conducted in collaboration with the Passaic Police Department, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service and various other law enforcement agencies across the country. Police said in May 2025, Cordero was then added to the New Jersey State Police Most Wanted List. Investigative efforts later revealed that Cordero was in the Bronx, New York. On March 24, 2026, authorities executed a warrant at a residence on East Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx and Cordero was found and arrested without incident. Cordero was extradited to New Jersey and placed at the Passaic County Jail on April 6, 2026.
