(CNN)– Hundreds of millions of people around the world have mental health challenges, and Google says it is trying to help those individuals find high quality information and crisis support. The company says it will update its Gemini platform to help those in need. Google says the Ai tools can play a positive role in improving people’s mental health especially if a person is experiencing a crisis. Google plans to add a system to direct users to mental health and crisis hotline resources when they feel they may harm themselves.
