INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials have unveiled their sleek “Festival Event Vehicles” to travel through Indiana and promote the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500. The fleet of 37 identical 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST trucks was revealed at the track Tues day morning, signalling the start of “Month of May” festivities. Each Chevy Silverado 1500 RST is a four-wheel-drive crew cab and features a 5.3-liter V-8 engine producing 355 horsepower. The trucks are equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission and dark nameplate badges. The exterior is finished in Summit White with body-color bumpers, center grille bars, and door handles. The trucks include Jet Black leather interiors and 20-inch high-gloss black-painted aluminum wheels. Custom Indianapolis 500 graphics on the vehicles celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. These designs include American flag-inspired stripes and hidden “Easter eggs” throughout the graphics. The specialized fleet was also built in Indiana. Workers at the Fort Wayne Assembly plant built the trucks before they were delivered to the Speedway. Dave Neff, 500 Festival president and CEO, said organization representatives will be behind the wheels of the trucks. “We are excited to unleash all 33 of the 500 Festival board members and the 500 Festival Princesses to serve as brand ambassadors for the Indianapolis 500 across the state these next couple months,” Neff said. “This is our state’s crown jewel, and there is no better time of year in the state of Indiana.” The 110th Indy 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 24. Tickets and information for Month of May activities are available at the IMS website. ...read more read less
