Mon evening forecast – Apr 6, 2026
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We are tracking our first freeze warnings of the spring season tonight. Then, we’re all aboard for another big warmup into the second half of this week.
Monday night: Colder under mostly clear skies and light winds. This leads way
to widespread frost and potential for a freeze in regards to areas near/north of I-70. Freeze Warnings are in effect from 2 to 10 AM EDT Tuesday morning due to low temperatures that will range from the upper 20s to low 30s.
Tuesday: After a cold start to Tuesday, a colder afternoon than Monday will emerge. While we look to have plenty of sunshine once again, temperatures will struggle to rise into the upper 40s.
Wednesday: We may need frost alerts again Wednesday morning as we look to start off in the mid 30s. Then, we look to warm significantly into the afternoon hours. Expect highs to surge into the mid to upper 60s. Winds will gust up to 20+ MPH at times.
7-Day Forecast: More in the way of 70s are ahead Thursday and into this weekend. This will also come with additional rain/storm chances starting late Thursday into Friday. A front may temporarily stall out for a couple of days, but uncertainty remains high on specifics. Regardless, chances for rain/storms carry through this weekend and into early next week at least. This is not saying that each day is a washout. Highs by Sunday could push closer to 80.
