Jason Shitanishi, 60, a former official with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a Honolulu resident, pleaded guilty Friday in federal court to receiving an illegal gratuity as a public official, according to U.S. Attorney for the District of Hawaii Ken Sorenson.
